MP's To Discuss Ricoh Train Station

Coventry MP's Jim Cunningham and Geoffrey Robinson are to meet the Secretary of State to discuss the proposed train station at the Ricoh Arena.

The train station plan has been blocked by the Department Of Transport and with it not in the next The Network Rail 'Control Period' which is for all rail building and maintenance work is set by the Secretary Of State and the Rail Regulators lasts for five years, it could now be another four years before building starts.

A spokesman for Jim Cunningham told Jenny Waddington at the CT: "Jim and Geoffrey Robinson have arranged an exploratory meeting, next week with the Secretary of State for Transport to discuss the development of the Ricoh Station."
