The High Street company have advertised in the Coventry Evening Telegraph for staff to run a store.
A Marks & Spencer spokesman refused to confirm or deny that they would be opening a new store but said: "We are looking at options in Coventry but we will not be saying anything until we've dotted all of the i's and crossed the t's.
The site seems to be favoured with local people with Tesco's reporting excellent trading figures.
