A heated debate left many residents unhappy with the arrangements for parking and prompting one resident to tell the CET: "What efforts will be made to stop people illegally parking here? "And any away fans will come off the M6 motorway -see the stadium, and understandably park as near to it as possible. That will be on our doorstep."
The Chairman of Longford CAN, Lonnie Downes said: "We first approached the council two years ago to say parking provision for thousands of cars was needed.
"Nothing has happened, and we are expecting nothing but chaos on match days."
