Four More Years For Ricoh Train Station

It could be 2014 before a train station at the Ricoh Arena is up and running.

According to the CT today, those involved with the NUCKLE project accept there is no chance of the scheme which includes a train station at the home of Coventry City in its first phase being fast-tracked.

Plans for the funding scheme are to be submitted to the government at a meeting on Thursday and government backing is not expected for another six months at least.

It would be 2012 before any building work on the scheme of which costs have now risen to £16m, would be able to start and another two years before it was completed.
