Council Brings In Exclusion Zone

As reported on this site on March 20th, Coventry City Council will be bring in a two mile exclusion zone around the Arena to stop fans parking for free near the ground and/or clogging up the inadequate road systems in the City.

Residents in Foleshill,Longford,Alderman's Green,Hall Green,Little Heath and Holbrooks will have to apply for a permit to park outside their houses on a match day two hours before kick off and one hour afterwards.

Coventry City stewards as well as ten parking attendants are expected to help enforce the scheme which is something akin to London's congestion charge will see 157 signs placed around the exclusion zaone perimeter.

These signs will be paid for by Arena Coventy who are shelling out over £400,000 to the scheme.
