Coventry City are to launch a one-off chocolate kit to commemorate their 125th anniversary.

The kit will be worn just once against Watford at the Ricoh Arena on Friday April 24th and there will be only 1125 kits made.

These can be ordered from the club shop on December 28th or on the website the following day. Asda in Walsgrave will also have a very small allocation once the replica kit arrives in Coventry in February.

Nathan Kosky, commercial director of Coventry City, said: "We were looking to do something special for the final home game of our125th season and it was suggested that the players wear an iconic kit from the club's history.

"And when people talk about iconic football strips - City's brown jersey from the 1970s is one of the most talked about in English football.

"I am sure fans will be eager to snap up their own version of the kit - but we are only producing 1,125 so it will be a case of first come, first served. I would recommend that fans get orders in on the 28th as I have been asked whether the club would be releasing a brown kit since my very first day in the job!"

Fans will get a chance to see the kit in greater detail on tomorrow's Saturday's Sky Sports' Soccer A.M show.

Prices for the kit are to be confirmed.
