Cashless System Back Again

Coventry City are again using the cashless card system for the new season which starts on August 9th

Again, supporters will be able to top up their season ticket (which should be arriving shortly) with cash to spend at the refreshment kiosks eiher before the game or at half-time. A non redeemable £7 will have been credited to your card when it arrives.

Cards will also be available for non-season ticket holders and only the away end will allow cash transactions

Daniel Gidney, chief executive of the Ricoh Arena, told the club website: "We are fully launching a system which has been successfully introduced at five stadiums in Germany.

"We expect supporters to have to queue for 20 seconds less each at the busiest times just before kick-off and at half-time which means no one will miss any of the action on the pitch.

Fans can load a minimum of £5 on to their cards from cashless payment staff dressed in lime green in the concourses ahead of the games, at the ticket office on non-matchdays and matchdays and from the website at http://www.cashless-payment.co.uk

"Card holders can have their credit refunded after half-time from designated kiosks in the concourses and in the corporate areas or keep the credit on the card to use at future matches.

"Deposits will encourage people to take care of the card and all deposits are 100 per cent refundable once it is returned after half-time although we would anticipate supporters will hang onto the card because any money that hasn't been spent can be carried over for another game.

"We would urge supporters to top-up on the website before a match or as soon as they arrive at the ground to avoid queuing.

"Our research in the last three games of last season proved that people in the cashless queues were served much more quickly and we are confident this will be a success."
