Brian Borrows side started brightly and were ahead in the 14th minute when Ryan Lynch nodded forward from a corner and Vijay Sidhu stabbed the ball in from close range.
Spurs twice went close through Claude Senla before City added a second in the 35th minute when a long ball from Chris Duggan was knocked by Ange Lorougnon for Vijay Sidhu to race through and slot the ball past the Spurs keeper David Button.
In the 70th minute,Spurs pulled one back through Jaques Maghoma who powered a header home from close range.
