Coventry City might have a new manager but it was another defeat as the Sky Blues went down to a 4-1 loss.

On a ground normally reserved for pre-season fixtures, the City support, many of whom cheered Russell Slade when he came over to take his place in the technical area, saw some poor defending give Rovers a free kick in the 18th minute and when it was swung in, Peter Hartley headed home unchallenged.

In the 54th minute, a good move saw the ball played in to Billy Bodin who cut in and curled a shot into the net.

Two minutes later and City had a corner. Bigirimana took it and Jordan Willis steered it into the net.

There was sixteen minutes left when Billy Bodin repeated his trick and cut inside to fire into the net for a goal which had City supporters walking out in disgust at another poor performance.

They missed Bodin get tripped and get up to bang home the resulting penalty to complete his hat-trick and see City crash to a 4-1 defeat.
