Coventry City stopped their run of away defeats with a 1-0 win at Fleetwood Town.

Against a Fleetwood Town side managed by former City player and manager Steven Pressley, who received a good reception from the City support, Tony Mowbray played a pretty much expected team.

Both sides had plenty of corners in the first half but the closest we came to a goal was in the 27th minute when Jacob Murphy had a shot cleared off the line.

Nick Haughton hit the post in the 53rd minute and Jim O'Brien had two efforts on goal in a game which badly needed a goal in what was a game between two poor sides.

Murphy hit the post for City, who brought on George Thomas and Marcus Tudgay and in the last minutean the City fans got the goal when George Thomas cut inside and fired a shot which went into the net off a defender in Richard Wood.
