Coventry City's unbeaten home record remains intact after they came from two goals down to beat Peterborough United 3-2 in a League One fixture this afternoon.

City took to the field in a game which kicked off late due to an accident on the A444, on a sunny afternoon without Joe Cole.

Peterborough took the lead in the 14th minute when Conor Washington was allowed to cut into the area and cross for Jermaine Andersen to score from six yards.

Washington wasted a number of chances to increase the lead of the visitors who could do nothing as Adam Armstrong hit the post in the 33rd minute.

Peterborough did get their second goal and it came with a stunning strike from the smallest player on the pitch in Erhun Oztumer, who hammered home a 36th minute stunner to delight the away fans.

Mowbray sent on Jim O'Brien and Ryan Kent for the second half which saw City pull a goal back within ten minutes when John Fleck struck the post and Romain Vincelot followed up to score.

The game watched by a crowd of 11,853, saw a thrilling encounter with both sides having chances and fine performances from John Fleck and Jim O'Brien.

With ten minutes to go, City were level when a great run from Murphy saw the ball squared to Adam Armstrong who scored to earn the Sky Blues level.

Graham Westley's side were trying to timewaste but with three minutes left, Armstrong cut in and smacked a shot post Alnwick and give City a win.
