Coventry City went out of the JPT after losing 4-3 on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

Tony Mowbray changed the City side for the JPT Second Round but even without Adam Armstrong, Ryan Kent and Reda Johnson, it was still a strong side.

Tudgay, Murphy and Fleck all had chances for a City side who had Ryan Haynes, putting in some good work down the flank.

There were no goals at half-time and in the second half, City had to rely on Reice Charles-Cook who made some good saves and blocks.

George Thomas and Ivor Lawton came on for City in a game between two sides who were both lacking in front of goal.

With six minutes left of normal time, Mowbray sent on Elford-Alliyu for the Sky Blues who had Murphy miss a sitter in the 87th minute and so penalties it was.

The City support launched into the Sky Blue Song, as the spot kicks took place.

Elford-Alliyu and Ricketts had their penalties saved and City were beaten 4-3 on penalties.
