According to the bookies, Oxford United manager Chris Wilder is 6/1 favourite to become the next manager of Coventry City.
The 44 year old former Sheffield United defender joined Oxford in 2008 and signed a new three year deal in September 2010.
The Oxford Mail say that City who will close applications for the job at 5pm today, are preparing to seek permission to speak to Wilder who is quoted by the CT as saying: "I take it as a compliment that we're doing ok but until anything happens I'll keep my head down and keep working hard for the club."
