We Always Try To Battle - Murphy

Coventry City keeper Joe Murphy has said that City are in the bottom three of the table because they are good enough at the moment.

When asked how this season's battle to avoid relegation compares with those he experiened at Scunthorpe United by the CT's Andy Turner, who has been nomnated for a Sports Reporter of The Year award, Murphy said:"There are differences because there is obvious quality here but we're in the bottom three because we are not good enough.

"But I feel we are due a bit of luck, especially if you look at the start of the season when late goals and late penalties cost us and we thought things were going to drop for us.

"So we have to stick together and look forward to the next game. We know we can put in good performances but getting points is everything at the business end of the season. And if we can stay up, it will be a great achievement after the run we have had, especially some of the goals we have conceded which we have to look at and improve upon.

"We've got the people and characters in the dressing room to do it and our work rate is always there. We never drop our heads or roll over if we are losing. We always try to battle on and hopefully that will do us good until the end of this season."
