Coventry City CEO Steve Waggott has said that he is reducing the applications for the vacant manager's job.

So far 87 applications have been received and Steve Waggott has trimmed them down and told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner:“I have reduced the initial inquiries based on my various criteria points to just under 20.

“Out of that I would say I would have eight who I would say at this juncture of where the club is, could steer us out of the current problem to safety.

“I’m looking for people who have got win ratios of over 40 per cent because we need to get at least 50 per cent of the points available, possibly a little bit more, to make sure we are secure.”
