Sky Sports Presenter Comes To Sphinx

Charlie’s Big Challenge will see Women’s Aid ambassador and TV presenter, Charlie Webster, running a total of 250 miles over 7 consecutive days, visiting 40 major football clubs along her incredible journey.
This is a national fundraising event that she hopes will gain massive awareness for Women’s Aid, the UK charity dedicated to protecting women and children against domestic violence.

She also aims to project the message that football culture stands united against domestic violence, and hope that the event will unite fans, clubs, and players at all levels of the nation’s favourite game to help raise vital funds for Women’s Aid.

Charlie’s Big Challenge will begin from Sunday 26th January 2014; Charlie will be starting at Everton’s Goodison Park in Liverpool, and finishing at West Ham United, Boleyn Ground. She will be visiting Coventry Sphinx’s grounds at Sphinx Drive on Thursday 30th January 2014 (day 5), which will be approximately 179.8 miles into her journey.

A football enthusiast herself, Charlie aims to raise over £100,000 for Women’s Aid.

Coventry Sphinx are honoured to be part of this incredible effort that Charlie has undertaken and as the only non league club we will ensure that she has a welcome to be proud of.

Chairman Dannie Cahill said "Its a massive challenge for Charlie and one we are sure she will complete if we at Coventry Sphinx can help her in any way shape or form then we are only to happy to help"
