City manager Micky Adams has asked City supporters to turn out in numbers on Thursday to ensure that the Arena gets a safety certificate and the Queens Park Rangers game can go ahead on Saturday.

Adams told the CET: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the players to sample the atmosphere of the Ricoh Arena in front of a large crowd.

“We have already trained on the pitch but taking a session with our fans watching will give the squad an early taste of what they can expect on Saturday as well as give them a chance to go behind the scenes.

“We want as many of our fans here as possible on Saturday against QPR to make our first game at the Ricoh Arena even more memorable by gaining a positive result.

“I hope we have lots of fans will come to the stadium tomorrow night to help us boost the attendance nearer the 32,000 mark.”
