Coventry City have had Marcus Tudgay training with them this week.
The Sussex born forward, came through Derby's academy to make 92 appearances for the Rams.
in 2006, Tudgay joined Sheffield Wednesday and had a five spell at Hillsborough, where he scored 49 goals in 195 appearances before joining Nottingham Forest.
Tudgay, has struggled to get into the Forest team and made 57 appearances, scoring ten times but in recent years, has been loaned to Barnsley and Charlton.
He is a free agent after his Forest contract expired on June 30th.
