Marcus Tudgay has said that the players need the Coventry City supporters behind them after the Sky Blues were booed off after snatching a 1-1 draw against Scunthorpe United.
Tudgay, who earned City a point with a 92nd minute volley, told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Clive Eakin: "We are disappointed. "Some angry words were exchanged in the dressing room because we should have had three points.
"We gave away a sloppy free kick and were chasing the game but managed to get a point.
"It is not nice to hear the fans booing. We need them behind us but we have to keep battling.
"We showed character and belief to keep going and get a point and that will only help us but my message to the fans is to get behind us we need you."
