On the 3rd June 2014 Coventry City (Holdings) Ltd was officially dissolved.
With Coventry City Ltd in liquidation, the historic links to the past are becoming tenuous with none of the tangled web of companies making up the current ownership structure actually having the words Coventry City in their name.
Obviously there is no legal requirement for this, just like there is no legal requirement for the owners to make any gesture to former shareholders but both would be welcomed.
Return the old share certificates? - Why Not?
