Time To Act - PSB Group

The Preservation Sky Blues Group have issued another press statement:

Time to wake up!
Time to ACT!
Time to BOYCOTT
Coventry City sit rock bottom of the league one table without a single win to their name.
Tony Mowbray built a fantastic squad of players last year which should have been promoted. With the sheer talent we managed to sign albeit on loan and Joe Cole on a permanent transfer the club then needed to pull out all the stops to give the side that extra push to get us over the line. If SISU had backed Mowbray in January we would have been promoted.
However Tony Mowbrays reward for a fantastic first half of the season was only being allowed to sign dead wood that neatly fitted into the 'sisu criteria' of costing next to nothing. One fact the majority of us realized years ago is that the 'SISU criteria' has only ever had one outcome. Taking our club further and further down.
We failed last year with arguably the best squad in the division. We put the blame for that firmly at the owners doorstep for a Complete lack of ambition in the critical January transfer window.
It's that lack of ambition that cost us promotion and will only continue to cost us each season.
It is clear to see that the squad we have this year is not fit to lace the boots of last years squad. Jodi Jones is supposed to be our star player. A player that city fans are expected to be excited about. No offence to the boy, he is a young lad with potential and has pace to burn but we don't see that he possesses the sort of attributes to rest our promotion hopes upon.
In a good league 1 side he'd be the sort of player to bring on off the bench for the last half hour when teams are tiring. As harsh as it sounds he is no more than that at present.
Last year he was a bench boy for Dagenham & Redbridge, a lower league club who incidentally happened to get relegated that same season.
This season he is billed as our star man. Really?
Is this how far our once proud club have fallen? We don't just want to single out Jones though. We look across the whole squad and can realistically say quality wise we only have one player that stands out head and shoulders above the rest by some way.
That man is Gael Bigriminana. He has been outstanding so far this season. This is a man that was booed at times last year. Indeed even when he signed it was met with apprehension and apathy.
Gael Bigriminana, Ben Stevenson and Cian Harries, who also look real prospects along with Dion kelly Evans are the only players that excite us for the future.
But how long will they be here with SISU at the helm? 12 months maybe? Then back to square one again.
These are the only players we would be sad to see go but as for the rest of the squad we are far from convinced. One thing is for sure. We are nowhere near promotion material.
Who seriously would miss going up the Ricoh, spending their hard earned cash only to come home depressed every week?
We are not even witnessing any city goals for our troubles!
It's horrendous and only going to get worse.
So we pose the question. Are we really settling for this each year?
We at PSB believe that it's now time for all city fans to wake up and bite the bullet.
We need a serious PROTEST with all Sky Blues fans coming together to make our point.
We believe that the only worthwhile protest left to us is one that would grab the ATTENTION of the local and national media. A protest that would gather momentum and actually upset and distress SISU. A RICOH BOYCOTT!
We have been treated like dirt by our owners SISU and yet thousands of us still pay for this privilege. Why on earth do we continue to allow this?
Why would SISU bother changing their ways if we just keep plodding along singing "SISU Out" whilst actually paying them good money?
It would be foolish to expect them to wouldn't it? Do you really think they care if we are parting with our money whilst turning up each week even if we do sing derogatory songs about them?
They couldn't care less as long as they keep getting paying customers coming through the turnstiles footing the bills.
The Sixfields boycott hurt them hard and we can do it again. We have to!
Come on city fans lets get real. For as long as we are putting money into the pockets of SISU they will be staying and so will their non ambitious tactics and their disastrous stewardship of our club. They don't even communicate with us anymore and why should they?
