Tidsdale: We Have To Put Ourselves In A Position Where We Can Perform

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has told Devon Live that his Grecians side have to put themselves in a position where they can perform at Wembley against Coventry City.

Tisdale said: “It’s honours even so far, albeit the game we played away earlier in the season was on a good surface, a nice day and a big stadium, so that probably had more of a similarity to the type of game we’ll have on Monday.

“The game against Coventry at home was very much winter conditions and it was a very difficult game to play in, in terms of a football match.

“I think we look at everything, we look at our games against Coventry this season, we’ll look at their games, we’ll look at all sorts of things that will just have a view on how we’re going to give ourselves the chance of performing at our best.

“I think that’s what we can do, it’s not a guarantee of winning – we’ve seen from the semi-finals that the decisions that are made, the big decisions that are made by referees that can go either way in both games, those things can happen in a final as well.

“All we have to do is put ourselves in a position where we can perform at our best and let nature take care of itself, really.”
