Former Coventry City and Coventry Sphinx midfielder Kevin Thornton is today meeting Northampton Town boss Gary Johnson to discuss his Cobblers future.
Speaking about Thornton to the Northampton Chronicle & Echo, Jonson said: “Kevin impressed me, and he has impressed me the past couple of games but when I first saw him in my first game I wasn’t impressed at all.
“To be fair to him he has got his head down, he has worked hard for three or four weeks. He probably thought he was going to be out at the end of the season, but I will sit down with him and talk to him.
“Everybody knows what a good footballer he is, and maybe he needs me and I need him, we don’t know yet. If he can keep himself ultra-professional then he might have a future here.”
