Neil MacFarlane has said that he is taking things day by day.
With City expected to announce on Monday their new manager, how long the Scot stays at the club is anyone's guess.
Speaking to Clive Eakin of BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, MacFarlane said: "I missed not having the gaffer (Steven Pressley) in the technical area. "He is my closest friend.
"I was proud of the players for the way they have handled this week and proud of myself for the way I have handled it.
"I am taking things day by day and I will do my job to the best of my abilty and will do it until I am told otherwise.
"We all love the club and want it to do well. We don't want to be relegated but the 4.45 classified results are what it means at the end of the day and Steven knew that.
"I will be speaking to him tonight 100% about today."
