Adams said: "Despite our position in the table, the mood in the camp is good and it's important the fans stick with us.
"I'd encourage the fans to be patient and like to tell them we're doing everything we can to put things right.
"There have already been a few surprises in this division and now we need to make sure it's us who are surprising people."
