Stern John has said that he wants to sign another contract at Coventry City. The Trinidad & Tobago international striker who faces even more competition for a start up front following the acquisitions of Kevin Kyle and Leon McKenzie is out of contract at the end of this season.
Stern Wants To Stay
John, who has scored twice this season told the CET: "My contract is up in the summer but no-one has really spoken to me about it yet so I just have to get on and play my football. "I guess the manager will talk to me about a contract when he is ready, but no-one has talked to me about my situation.
"As a player you want to get something sorted before the summer but I am still contracted until then and I need to get my head down and get on with it.

He went on to say: "I' would like to sign a new deal,as would every player ,because you have your family and you need to stay focused on the game rather than worrying about what is going to happen if you get injured or about your next contract. It is a difficult situation as this will probably be my last big contract of my career at my age.
"I am going to be thirty next month,so hopefully I can get something sorted in the next couple of months, but either way I am still going to work hard for Coventry City and give the club my best.
"There were a couple of teams in for me recently but we just have to wait and see. Coventry wanted a bit of money for me so nothing happened, but I just want to get on with things."
