Keeper Luke Steele has said that he would like to stay at Highfield Road for the rest of the season.

The on loan custodian from Manchester United has performed wonders to keep City out of the bottom three and said: "Staying for the whole season is an option and the club have already put it to me.

"I would certainly be happy to stay but it is up to Manchester United and whether they feel it will be more beneficial for me to stay here, so the ball is not really in my court."

Meanwhile,Gary McAllister has emerged as red hot favourite for the managerial position at Leicester City. In fact he is such a favourite that the bookies have stopped taking bets on the Scot. City finished 20th in the only season McAllister completed and were only mid table before he quit in January this year.

Notts County have put former Sky Blue David Pipe on the transfer list. The Welshman joined the Magpies last season and was one of three players put on the list by former City Reserves boss Gary Mills.
