Coventry Sphinx were beaten 5-0 at home by Stourport Swifts in a Midland Alliance fixture this afternoon.

The visitors took the lead in the second minute through Calvin Dinsley but in the 20th minute, Sphinx were down to ten men when Iyseden Christie was sent off for a second bookable offence.

John Griffin scored a second for Stour in the 26th minute and although Sphinx battled hard, they were finally undone by three goals.

The first goal came from Kyonn Evans in the 77th minute, followed by Lewis Pountney hitting the fourth three minutes later.

In stoppage time, Louis Bridges compounded the misery for Andy Taylor's side with a fifth.
