Coventry City manager Russell Slade has said that City have turned down two offers for Ben Stevenson from Brentford.

Speaking to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, Slade said: “If people think they’re coming here and just pinching players they’re mistaken.

“We’ve had two offers for Ben and we’ve turned them down. Everybody’s got a value, doesn’t matter who they are, but we like him.

“Cian is still on Liverpool’s radar – I think they might have been here watching him tonight – but at this moment he’s still our player and I was pleased with him tonight.

“You get all sort of speculation at times – I don’t know where people get it from – but that’s what it is when the window’s open. We’re working on things all the time.”
