ON THE GAME
Iain Dowie said to the CT: "We have worked on one or two things we feel we need to develop. "Some of our quick, incisive play created us chances, but there weren't enough. "We are in good spirits, we are undefeated and go to a tough place in Ninian Park where we have to try to keep that going. "I have a team in my mind and Dave McNamee's injury clarifies that a bit.
"But we have got massive pressure up front and people need to perform. "We are going there expecting to get a result.

"We are scoring goals and could have got a few more last week had we been a bit more on the move rather than standing waiting, we might have got the winner. "We are not going there to shut up shop. "I want to defend properly and I want a clean sheet, but we are going there to play."
Elliott Ward told Sky Blue World: "It's going to be a really good test for us. "They have brought two Premiership class strikers over the summer but we'll go there in great spirits and hopefully come away with a result.

"I know a little bit about Robbie Fowler because I've played against him once before when he was still at Liverpool - I managed to keep him pretty quiet that day and he didn't score. "I've not played against Hasselbaink, but the manager knows all about him from his time at Charlton and it's a challenge I'm looking forward to should he play. As a defender you always want to be up against the best forwards.

The centre half added: "They are going to be very important for Cardiff this season but even if neither plays on Saturday they still have a very strong side. "Dave Jones likes them to play attacking football, especially at home but I think that will suit us."Ninian Park is a tough place to go because the crowd seem right on top of you. "Every game I've played there has been a tight affair and I don't expect Saturday to be any different."
