Shrewsbury v Coventry City.

Teams: Coventry City: Westwood, Clarke Cranie, McPake, Hussey, Wood, Carsley, Doyle, Jeffers, Jutkiewicz, Eastwood. Subs: L. Thomas, Cameron, McSheffrey, C. Thomas, Gunnarsson, Grandison, Baker.

It is a sunny evening in Shrewsbury tonight. Coventry City's latest signing Lukas Jutkiewicz (pronounced You ker vitch), has got off the coach along with the rest of the team, including new club captain Lee Carsley.

In the other Coventry game tonight, the very local derby between Coventry Sphinx and Coventry City under 18's, former City player Craig Pead is in the Sphinx side.

There are around 120 City fans at the Greenhous Meadow, Shrewsbury, all housed in the away end.

Coventry City legend and former Shrewsbury player Steve Ogrizovic has had a good round of applause from the crowd who were waiting for their new manager Graham Turner, to be introduced, but the club have decided to leave that until their first league home game.

Coventry are playing a 4-1-3-2 formation with Hussey in the midfield and Carsley in front of the back four.

City are in their green and black away kit and Shrewsbury are in their red shirts and navy shorts.

Shrewsbury are attacking the end where the City fans are housed and have had their first chance of the game when Jake Robinson finds a little space inside the area but fires wide from 10 yards out.

10 minutes. Jutkiewicz gave the ball away with one of his first touches. However, he then played a 30 yard pass to Eastwood on the left and then ran in to head the incoming pass over the bar.

19 minutes. Hussey goes on a good run puts in a dangerous cross, but the chance goes begging.

22 minutes. Eastwood has a good chance, but he fires his shot wide.

25 minutes, A shirt pull by McPake on Robinson in the Shrewsbury half results in a free kick for The Shrews. Carsley blocks the kick and then helps to win City a corner.

27 minutes. Corner come in and is cleared by the Shrews defence.

31 minutes. Shrewsbury win a corner which Westwood punches out and Eastwood clears.

In the Sphinx v Coventry City under 18's the half time score is 0-0

33 minutes, Jake Robinson gets round Clarke, but puts his shot wide past the far post

37 minutes. Mark Wright sends a 20 yard curler just wide of the far post as Shrewsbury have most of the play.

39 minutes. Jutkiewicz wins a corner for City and Hussey has to dashover to take it, but the corner is cleared and Hussey is caught well out of position. With the ball quickly into the City half, Steve Leslie misses the goal and puts the ball wide of the far post.

42 minutes. Jutkiewicz is sent crashing to floor. Eastwood takes the resulting free kick, but puts it wide.

45 minutes and the referee blows for half time.

City are first out for the second half. Assistant coach Steve Harison is gining plenty of instruction to Jeffers and Clarke who let Shrewsbury have too much down their own side inthe first half.

Substitution: 46 minutes. Hussey is taken off and replaced by McSheffrey.

46 minutes. Shrewsbury have the first chance of the second half, but the ball is put out for a corner.

Meanwhile in Coventry, the under 18's have scored against Sphinx making the score Sphinx 0 Coventry City U18's 1.

Sphinx were not behind for long and have equalised through Liam Kay.

At Shrewsbury it is still goalless and the Shrews are having the better of the chances.

55 minutes. Eastwood goes on a good run and he squares it for carsley who hits a soft shot straight at the goal keeper.

At the othe end McIntyre has a 20 yard shot shot which Westwood dives to push round for a corner.

53 minutes. Penalty. Doyle is penalised for shoving a Shrewsbury player over in the area.

Steve Leslie steps up to take the spot kick, but it is a poor kick and easily saved by Westwood.

63 minutes. Substitution: Jutkiewicz is replaced by Gunnarsson and Carsley is replaced by Baker.

70 minutes, Substitution: Westwood is replaced by Lawrence Thomas and Eastwood is replaced by Grandison who has gone up front.

73 minutes. City have finally had a shot on target, but Doyle's effort is saved. At the other end MvIntyre has a header deflected out for a corner.

75 minutes. Substitution: Shrewsbury manger Graham Turner nakes a double change taking off both Leslie and Robinson.

78 minutes. Substitution: McPake is replaced by Cameron.

There is a red sky over the Greenhous Stadium as the sun sets on a dreadful game.

81 minutes, Substitution: Shrewsbury make a triple change.

Cameron makes a great tackle to concede a corner as the City fans watch in silence.

85 minutes. Substitution: Conor Thomas is on in place of Jeffers.

Meanwhile back in Coventry the game between Coventry Sphinx and Coventry City U18's has ended in 1-2 win for the U18's.

In Shrewsbury thescore remains 0-0, but Thomas has made a great save diving to his left to push the ball away for a corner.

The fourth official has just announced here will be two minutes of added time.
