Jordan Shipley has admitted his delight at signing a new contract with Coventry City FC.

The midfielder has signed a new two and just over five months contract after coming through City's Academy and U23's into the first team and said at this morning's press conference:  “I’m delighted.

"I’ve been at this club for twelve years now and to be given a new contract, it is a great achievement for myself and my family who have been committed to me during the years so I’m really happy.

“It’s a lot more difficult than in the U23s in the first team, but I don’t feel fatigued. I mean everyone gets tried now and then but it’s about resting up after the games and trainings same intensity every day.

“I need to improve my physical side and fitness’s to last 90 minutes and beyond, but I’ll keep working hard and it will eventually all come together.

“I’ve been working harder with Andy Young the Fitness Coach, doing some extra runs and luckily it’s coming together now.”
