Sherwood Gets Villa Job

Former Coventry City captain Tim Sherwood has been appointed manager of Aston Villa.

Sherwood, the former Tottenham coach has replaced Paul Lambert and has signed a three and a half year contract.

Villa CEO Tom Fox told his club's website:  "We are determined to build a football operation with a long-term vision and a commitment to youth development.

"We strongly believe Tim has the qualities to get the best out of our current squad and help us build and develop for the future."
