Select Group Referee For City's Trip To Forest

The referee currently appointed to take charge of Coventry City's next game, the trip to Nottingham Forest is Mark Clattenburg from County Durham.

An electrician by trade, Mark had come up through the ranks quickly and was appointed a FIFA referee in 2006 when aged only 30. He is a member of the Select Group of referess.

This season, he has had 23 matches and shown 73 yellows and 6 red cards. This will be his first Championship game of the season.

His last City game was the 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on December 28th 2009. Before that he was in charge of the 1-0 home win over Luton Town in January 2007

His assistants will be Peter Bankes from Liverpool and Adam Nunn from Wiltshire. The fourth official will be Robert Madeley from West Yorkshire.
