Coventry City's next opponents Scunthorpe are having a bit of an injury crisis and are hoping to add to their depleted squad before Saturday's game.

Scunthorpe have a poor home record this season and most of their current injuries are to defenders which means Iron boss Ian Barraclough is running out of options and so hopes to add a loan player or two in time for the visit of Coventry.

Scunthorpe have only one recognised fit central defender Rob Jones. Barraclough had thought he had agreed a deal with Leicester to bring in Michael Morrison, but it has emerged now that he is to stay at Leicester.

Barraclough was not too pleased telling the Scunthorpe Telegraph, "It was indicated to me that he would be allowed to come out on loan, but they have since changed their mind. That's an example of clubs being willing to let players go, the player wants to leave, but then they decide for the last six or seven games until the January window, they want to keep them."

Barraclough has until midday today to find any loan replacements.
