Robins: We Need As Many Points As We Can Get

Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that his side need as many points as they can get for a play-off push.

City are not in the play-off places due to missing chances and conceding soft goals but are unbeaten in five games and only five points away from a place in the top six.

With the target of avoiding relegation ticked off, the Sky Blues are now looking to finish as high as possible in the league table, ideally in those play-off places.

Robins told the Coventry Telegraph: “We all know the league has proved difficult for us at times but we have started to build and you can see we are starting to build and get some momentum going, which is fantastic.

“And to go to a place like Accrington last weekend and win should give them a really big boost because it’s a tough, tough place.

“But we need to go and keep putting in those same performances and try to eke out more results.

“We have got a lot of good games coming up. We have got three out of four at home now and we have got to try to pick up as many points as we can.

“We’ve been doing all right away recently.

“Seven points is a decent return and outstanding away form so if we can get back to the Ricoh and play in front of our own support it will be fantastic.

“We want the fans to come in their numbers and really get behind us and see if we can finish the season off on a real high.”
