Robins; We Have To Take The Point

Mark Robins has said that his side have to take the point after drawing 1-1 at Stevenage.

Robins told the media: " I think we have to take the point . It’s a game we feel we should have won.

"We took the lead and are usually good at defending but I just think we got stretched and ended up being out of position too much in the second half and allowed Stevenage to build some possession and momentum, and we dropped deep as a result.

" And with young players on the pitch it just so happened that we ended up a little bit out of shape when the ricochet came and the runner wasn’t tracked and he ended up putting it in the back of the net

“And that was a shame for us because I thought we created some really good openings at times, the ball from McNulty to Shipley was brilliant and the lad pulled it up and volleyed it and we’ve seen those nestle in the back of the net plenty of times in training.

“You’re just looking for that clinical end.”
