New Coventry City boss Mark Robins has said that things are going to change after watching his side go down to a 2-1 home defeat to Carlisle United.

Although City put in a lot better performance than of late and had enough chances to win the game with both David McGoldrick and substitute Cody McDonald hitting the post late on, the Sky Blues are still without a win in League One and speaking to City's club journalist Keiran Crowley, Robins said: “Things are going to change and that is something we will endeavour to do over the next couple of weeks. There is a heck of a lot of things which need to change.

“With the influx of new players and young players, we need to start to give them that guidance on how to perform to their best ability.

“You need to be a man in this game. I think Reece Brown did well today. He stepped up to the plate and he has won some good balls in the air with his distribution being pretty good as well.

“But we often took the easy option, looking to keep the ball rather than go forward with it. We need to start passing with a purpose.

“Those are the things we need to change so we will be looking at it over the next few weeks.”
