Coventry City Manager Mark Robins said that he was happy with the win as the Sky Blues won 2-1 at Southend United.
City should have been ahead in the 5th minute when Tom Davies got the ball in the net but not in the opinion of the match officials and took the lead through Jordy Hiwula in the 19th minute.
Tom Hopper levelled but in stoppage time, Jodi Jones scored to give City another late away win.
Speaking to the media about the victory, Robins said: "It could have been three-nil before they had a say in any of the game.
"I have just seen a picture of it, and it [the goal that was not given] is two yards in the net. So had we not won the game it would have been an absolute travesty.
"I think they are a good team. They make it really difficult for you with the way they play, they are really confident on the ball and move it around well.
"But, we were good. We were really good and we gave good value for the win. Once again we were outstandingly backed, and we are happy to go away with the three points."
