According to The Mirror, this morning Ray Ranson if he were to come back into the club, would appoint current Barnsley  manager Mark Robins as manager in place of Andy Thorn.

The Mirror claims that Ranson, who many City supporters will be hoping stays as far away from the club as possible following a string of poor decisions over the years he was Chairman including the appointment of Aidy Boothroyd and moves which saw SISU having to bail out th club in March to the tune of £8m, is trying to bring in a new consortium.

However, that seems in contrast to the Gary Hoffman consortium, who like the vast majority of City supporters are understood to have backed the appointment of Andy Thorn as manager.
