PSB Group Open Letter To Tim Fisher

Last updated : 19 December 2016 By PSB Group

Dear Tim,

On the back of listening to both of your radio interviews on BBC C&W
and Talk Sport, we write to you today as a group of very concerned life- long CCFC fans.

It's very clear that the relationship between fans, the owners and yourself is at an all-time low.

Let's get one thing crystal clear, Coventry city football club is in a mess from top to bottom. That is down to SISU not the fans.

You have constantly said how much the fans mean to the club and that the club and team really need the fans support.

So in response to that, we ask you this. Why didn't you or SISU listen to fans when we pleaded not to move to Sixfields?

Why are you not trying to entice fans back to the ricoh by showing the merest hint of ambition like any normal club would try and do?

Why are you blaming fans for some of this mess?

The logic of SISU and you personally is this:

1.Sell star players on the promise of reinvestment
2. Don't replace the players or invest
3. Tell fans to buy season tickets to improve the budget
4. Fans buy season tickets for you to then cut the budget further
5. Rarely communicate with fans
6. Raise the price of season tickets
7. Blame fans for not attending games
8. Threaten to cut the budget some more

Can you not see from that how unappealing you are as Chairman and our unfit owners are for us fans to invest in?

The logic of a properly run club is simply;

1.Invest in the squad which will improve their chances of climbing the league and promotion.
2. That alone would increase attendances automatically.
3. Ccfc/SISU would then Reap the rewards of more fans attending games
4. More money would be coming in
5 That money will then be paying off your investment into the playing squad
and more.
Do you understand where we are going with this?
The club needs to invest if it expects the fans to do the same.

As for your threats that you will cut the budget even more if less fans attend the games next season, Good luck with getting bums on seats with that attitude towards your paying customers Tim.

You also mentioned that due to the pitch invasion the club will be fined around £50,000 which you then went on to say further 'do you know what the club could have done with that sort of money in the transfer window?

Our response to that notion is, do you know how much money you cost the club by moving it to sixfields?

How much has that year or so cost us within our playing budget each year since then Tim?

Do you realise how many fans have not attended a home game since that unforgivable move?

The Sixfields disaster also contributed into CCFC losing any chance of owning the Ricoh and was sold on to Wasps, leaving the future of CCFC very uncertain.

Next time you want to criticise the fans for costing the club a potential £50,000 which could have been used towards new players, can you also criticize Joy Seppala for the money she has wasted in pointless legal action.

That money could have been the difference between finishing 8th last season and finishing in the top six with a possible promotion.

Just how much is the legal bill right now?

We are certain it's far more
than £50,000 Tim.

Finally, there are thousands of football fans all over England as well as football legends and pundits, media outlets and recent ex City players that have played under SISU all now calling for SISU to go.

All these people are saying that SISU are running the club into the ground.

All these people cannot be wrong Tim, you say you don't work for SISU and you are working unpaid with the club’s best interests at heart.

Well if there is any truth in that then please listen to all these people and urge Joy to sell up now.

Why not look for new investors yourself?

This club can be great again if it had investment.

SISU are the ones holding this club back. Simply put, attendances would double over night if SISU left today.

A response would be very welcome.

Thank you

Regards
