Pressley Up For Sports Award

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley is in the final three for the Manager/Coach Of The Year at the first ever Coventry Sports Awards tonight.

The awards, promoted by the Coventry Telegraph with Virgin Trains as its headline sponsor, see Pressley who was nominated for keeping City in League One, contesting the award with Coventry City Ladies Manager Craig Nicholls, whose side have been beaten just once in 26 league matches and have won the league and county cup and Paul Adams of the Coventry Tornadoes Basketball Team.

Also nominated for awards are former Sky Blue Callum Wilson in the Professional Sportsman Of The Year category, City defender Ryan Haynes in the Professional Young Sports Person Of The Year category, Coventry City Ladies in the Team Of The Year category, City supporter Pat Raybould for her excellent work in the Family Zone on behalf of her team and City's Goalkeeping Coach Steve Ogrizovic in the Community Award.

Coventry's non-league football is represented by Pete Bromwich of the Coventry Alliance League whilst Coventry City FC are sponsoring the Junior Team award.
