Coventry City have this morning sacked manager Steven Pressley.

The club dropped into the bottom three of the League One table after a 2-2 draw at Sheffield United, a game in which they led 2-0, amid a poor run of results, an embarrassing cup exit to Worcester City and supporters staying away in their thousands.

Although, the timing may have surrprised many, the prospect of relegation was too much of a threat and so Steve Waggott and co have acted, to remove Pressley who have been accused of not getting the best out of their players and playing the wrong tactics.

Neil MacFarlane and David Hockaday has been put in temporary charge.
