Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that he and his backroom staff have a great belief in Lee Burge.

The keeper will play for City on Saturday at Preston North End due to Jamie Jones not being able to play against his parent club and speaking about Burge to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Pressley said:“I spoke to Lee when Jamie came in and explained to him that one of the things you have to do as a manager is get it right when to put a young goalkeeper back in, and I felt the timing wasn’t quite right.

“That doesn’t mean we haven’t got belief in him because we have great belief in him but I have a duty to put him in when it’s right, and he understands that.

“He’s trained very well, although he sat out Tuesday with a slight issue with his knee, but he should be fine for the weekend. And it’s a brilliant opportunity for him.

“He’s worked hard after his disappointment of how he went out of the team but it’s how you respond to that, and I’m hopeful he’ll respond in the best possible way."
