Coventry City will face a home game against Sunderland in the FA Cup 4th Round if they can over-come Portsmouth FC in a Third Round January 12th replay.

Should City win, they will face Sunderland on Saturday January 23rd (subject to television requirements) in the draw which was made by Paul Elliott MBE and Frank Skinner this evening at Wembley Stadium.

Coventry City and Portsmouth were ball number 14 in the draw which comprised of 43 clubs.

Against Sunderland in the FA Cup, City have won one and lost two. City beat Sunderland 2-1 in 1963 but lost 2-0 at Roker Park in 1950 and 2-1 at Highfield Road in 1930.

Today, Leeds United with Michael Doyle in the side, pulled off the only shock of the Third Round so far when a goal from Jermaine Beckford gave them a 1-0 victory at Manchester United.

Chelsea beat Watford 5-0, Sheffield United drew 1-1 with QPR, and West Ham were beaten by Arsenal 2-1, where it was good to see former Sky Blue John Hartson working as a summariser for ITV Sport. Notts County against Forest Green Rovers was postponed.
