Jamie Pearson is being reported as being close to getting a contract with Coventry City.
The former Leicester defender and son of Nigel Pearson, featured for City in their 2-0 win over MK Dons last night and speaking about him, Mark Robins said: "He’s only young and he’s had a difficult spell of late with an injury to contend with but I think he is the right sort and is a good lad to have around, so we will see how things develop over the next week or two and see where we go.
“But again, he’s the right sort to have around.”
City will not be continuing their interest in former Chelsea youngster Alex Davey.
Mark Robins said:“He played in the game against Southampton and I decided not to pursue anything further.
“We wish him all the best, obviously, but he won’t be doing anything with us at the moment.”
