Police Issue Images After City V Sunderland Trouble

West Midlands Police have issued images of more than twenty people they want to interview following the Coventry City V Sunderland game in September.

Both sets of supporters were allowed out at the same time and there were punches thrown in incidents which saw a police officer taken to hospital with a minor injury.

Pc Craig Harding from the football unit, said: "There were more than 16,000 supporters at the match and although the vast majority were well-behaved there were a small number who engaged in disorder.

"An officer, who was involved in separating the two sets of opposing fans, was injured but thankfully not seriously.

"There is no place in football for such trouble and we are keen to identify these men as we seek to establish who was involved."
