Points Better Than Good Performances - Platt

Coventry City forward Clive Platt has said that the players would rather have points than good performances.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Platt who gave City the lead against West Ham said: "We've played well again but come away with no points and when you play well you want to come away with the win.

"I think the thing we did better on Saturday than we've done all season is mix up the play. We were getting the ball down and passing well but mixing it with balls into the box and it worked well for us in both halves and we deserved our lead at half time.

"We just have to pair that up with being a bit more resolute in defence. We have just got to try and turn these performances into victories now but if we play badly and get the points we'd prefer that because points are what's most important."

On his goal, Platt said: "It's always nice to score but I'd probably be raving about it a bit more if we had won the game.

"Hopefully we can take the way we played into our game with Cardiff City on Tuesday night and get three points there."
