Coventry City defender Richard Keogh has admitted that playing in a settled side is benefiting the team.

Speaking to the CT, Keogh said: "It helps when you have a settled team but that's what we've got because we've got a good squad with everybody pushing hard for places. We train at a very high tempo and you know that you've got to be on your toes if you want to hold onto your shirt.

"There's no animosity because everyone wants the team to do well. The team spirit is fantastic and I think that shows on the pitch because we have been very confident, everybody looking forward to the next game.

"There have been times when we've played really well and and times when we have not been great but still picked up points which they always say is the sign of a good team.

"It's been a steady start but we are still very much a work in progresss and there are a lot of things we've got to work on. The manager's very good at notching things we need to improve on and putting that right on the training pitch. We're fourth now, which is great but we want to be first or second."
