Coventry City forward Clive Platt has expressed his delight at being back in the City side.

Platt was a 61st minute substitute for Cody McDonald in the 1-1 draw with Reading and he told Sky Blue Player; "It's been a frustrating time for me because I've never really suffered with injuries in my career but the backroom staff have worked really hard with me to get me ready so it was great to get back in the action.

"The frustrating bit is becoming half fit and wanting to get straight back out there but you have to be careful not to get injured again so you just have to hold off a bit and now I'm fit again which is a great feeling."

Platt came on to partner Lukas Jutkiewicz and set him up for a last gasp penalty which Jutkiewicz blasted over the CT Stand end bar. He said: "I thought Lukas looked great out there today. He's obviously disappointed in the dressing room but hopefully he can get it out of his system sooner rather than later because he's been playing great all season.

"It was his bit of magic that won us the penalty in the first place so hopefully he won't be too hard on himself because he's been putting in some great performances.

"As a team I think it's been the same. We've been turning in some good performances but now we just need to start taking some of these draws and turning them into wins so we are all trying our best to do that."
